Dunbar H.S. (Texas) linebacker Rashod Favors has committed to Oklahoma. Favors is also being recruited by Oklahoma St., Texas Tech, Baylor and Texas A&M.
Cardinal O’Hara H.S. (Pennsylvania) wide receiver Corey Brown has listed his top schools at Miami, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Ohio St. and Rutgers. Brown says Miami is the slight favorite at this time.
St. Thomas Aquinas athlete and Gridironstuds.com member Lamarcus Joyner has named his Top 3 as Florida St., Florida and Ohio St. However, Joyner is also considering USC, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. Still don’t know where he’s going to go? Guess what, neither do I and I suspect he doesn’t either. Decisions, decisions. Joyner will be attending the September 12th game between Ohio St. and USC in Columbus.
August 31st
Shaw High School (Cleveland) wide receiver and Gridironstuds.com member Tyrone Williams has committed to Ohio St. Shaw is also being recruited by West Virginia, Michigan St., Akron and Cincinnati.
St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) cornerback and Gridironstuds.com member Cody Riggs picked off a pass in his season debut for the Raiders. Aquinas crushed Upper Arlington (Ohio) 52-7 in the Herbstreit Classic on Saturday.
Riggs’ teammate and Gridironstuds.com member Lamarcus Joyner caught a 31 yard touchdown pass in the game. While running back Giovanni Bernard rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
Inkster High School (Michigan) quarterback and Gridironstuds.com member Devin Gardner rushed for 133 yards and threw for 97 yards in their loss to Pioneer High School on Saturday.
Southeastern High School defensive end and Gridironstuds.com member William Gholston racked up four sacks in his teams 40-0 win over Detroit Osborn High on Friday.
Cape Coral High School all everything Jaylen Watkins threw a 20 yard touchdown pass and had an 80 yard run in his team his team’s 32-32 tie against Riverdale High School (Ft. Myers).
Southeast High School (Florida) safety Jonathan Dowling had an interception his teams season opening loss to Hillsborough (Florida).
Chad Wilson is a college football recruiting expert and creator of the GridironStudsApp which allows high school football players to gain exposure to college football coaches and fans. Wilson is a former college football player for the University of Miami (92-94) and Long Beach St. (’90-’91) and played briefly for the Seattle Seahawks (’95). He is also a former youth and high school football coach for over 15 years most recently for 5-A State of Florida Champs American Heritage. He runs All Eyes DB Camp a defensive back training company located in South Florida IG: @alleyesdbcamp. Wilson’s oldest son Quincy plays in the NFL for the New York Giants and his younger son plays cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals.
