It’s been a busy week for Ohio prep football star Latwan Anderson. Last week he announced that he was departing St. Edward’s High School where he rose to stardom on the gridiron and on the track. This week he landed at a new high school and landed a new offer from a big time college football program.
Anderson announced on Thursday that he will be playing football this Fall for Glenville High School under the watchful eye of Tedd Gin Sr. Anderson will be attending Ginn Academy, started by Ginn Senior while playing for Glenville this upcoming season.
That wasn’t the only news falling under Anderson’s name this week. It is also being reported that Anderson landed an offer from the University of Miami this week further burgeoning the status of this Top 100 recruit. Anderson is also holding offers from Michigan St., Michigan, West Virginia, Cincinnati and may have also recently received an offer from UCLA.
Anderson is being recruited as a defensive back but also played running back and wide receiver for St. Edwards in the two years that he played varsity football at the school. Last season, Anderson totaled 50 tackles, 5 interceptions and six touchdowns. He was also a standout on special teams for St. Edwards.
Chad Wilson is a college football recruiting expert and creator of the GridironStudsApp which allows high school football players to gain exposure to college football coaches and fans. Wilson is a former college football player for the University of Miami (92-94) and Long Beach St. (’90-’91) and played briefly for the Seattle Seahawks (’95). He is also a former youth and high school football coach for over 15 years most recently for 5-A State of Florida Champs American Heritage. He runs All Eyes DB Camp a defensive back training company located in South Florida IG: @alleyesdbcamp. Wilson’s oldest son Quincy plays in the NFL for the New York Giants and his younger son plays cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals.
