December 30th
Miami Northwestern wide receiver and Gridironstuds.com member Michaelee Harris has committed to Louisville. Harris will join teammate Corvin Lamb as a member of the Cardinals.
Cardinal Gibbons High School (Florida) wide receiver Shawn Corker, a Texas Tech commit, is unfazed by the situation with coach Mike Leach. Corker says he’s going to bleed Red and Black.
December 29th
Florida 6-A Champs Miramar High School quarterback Ryan Williams has committed to Eastern Michigan.
It was previously reported that Glenville H.S. (Ohio) quarterback Cardale Jones had an offer from Ohio St. but that turned out to be incorrect. Jones currently holds offers from Iowa, Bowling Green and West Virginia.
December 28th
Bill Cowher back in coaching and specifically Tampa could spell bad news for the Miami Hurricanes. Cowher is on record as saying that one of his first hires when he gets back into coaching is Mark Whipple. Cowher back in the NFL could mean the same for Whipple who has turned around the Hurricanes offense in just one year on the job.
There are rumors out there that Miami, Fla will hire Florida High School 6A champs Miramar H.S. head coach Damon Cogdell for a position in the football program. Such a move could mean that Ivan McCartney to Miami is a certainty. However, McCartney reportedly has some grade issues to work out before he can become a Hurricane.
Chad Wilson is a college football recruiting expert and creator of the GridironStudsApp which allows high school football players to gain exposure to college football coaches and fans. Wilson is a former college football player for the University of Miami (92-94) and Long Beach St. (’90-’91) and played briefly for the Seattle Seahawks (’95). He is also a former youth and high school football coach for over 15 years most recently for 5-A State of Florida Champs American Heritage. He runs All Eyes DB Camp a defensive back training company located in South Florida IG: @alleyesdbcamp. Wilson’s oldest son Quincy plays in the NFL for the New York Giants and his younger son plays cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals.
