No surprise here but the Pittsburgh Panthers just lost their third recruit since firing head coach Mike Haywood after a domestic violence arrest on Saturday.
The latest defection from the Pitt Panthers commit list is defensive tackle Marquise Wright from Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey. He joins 3 star defensive end Max Issaka (Woodbridge H.S., New Jersey) and Gridironstuds.com member 3 star linebacker Quinton Alston (Timbercreek H.S., New Jersey).
Pittsburgh’s commit list now falls down to seven and leaves one to wonder what 4-star safety commit, Terrell Chestnut (Pottsgrove H.S., Pennsylvania) will end up doing. Chestnut is the highest ranked commit on Pitt’s list and is currently a ‘soft verbal’.
Losing a head coach after he is only on the job for two and one half weeks makes Pittsburgh look like a real unstable program. Now the pressure is on the Panthers to hurry up and fill this head coach opening with signing date being roughly one month away. It will be interesting to see what develops there.
