Pahokee H.S. (Florida) Fred Pickett has chosen West Virginia. Pickett also has offers from Florida St. and Florida International.

Tevin Carter Santee H.S. (California) committed to Washington. Carter also has offers on the table from Arizona St., Arizona, San Diego St., California, Washington St. and Oregon.

May 15th

Word is that St. Thomas H.S. (Florida) cornerback and Gridironstuds.com member
Lamarcus Joyner is making a big impact at wide receiver for the Raiders this Spring.

USC has landed a commitment from highly recruited Van Nuys, California running back Trajuan Briggs from Birmingham H.S. Briggs also has offers from Washington, Washington St. and Pittsburgh.

Mississippi St. has offered North Broward Prep H.S. (Florida) quarterback Brandon Dougherty.

Duke just received a commit from California prep quarterback Brandon Connette from Santiago H.S. in Corona.

May 14th

Pahokee H.S. (Florida) wide receiver and Gridironstuds.com member Chris Dunkley has been held out of spring practice due to a sports hernia. The injury may require surgery and could have Dunkley out up to 8 weeks.

The University of Miami has made their third cornerback scholarship offer in a week. This time Boyd Anderson H.S. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) cornerback Cliff Coleman was on the receiving end of a Hurricane offer. The 5’10” 170 lb. cornerback has Miami high on his list. He also has offers from Florida St., South Carolina and Mississippi.

Byrnes H.S. (South Carolina) defensive end Corey Miller can now add Georgia to his list of offers. Millwer has offers from coast to coast including California, Oregon, Texas A&M, Nebraska, LSU, Clemson, Florida St., Michigan St., Notre Dame and more.

Former Duke quarterback Greg Paulus has decided to play QB for Syracuse.. Paulus will compete with Ryan Nassib for the starting job.

The University of Miami has made a scholarship offer to Hollywood Hills H.S. (Florida) and Gridironstuds.com member Tony Grimes. Grimes is also being recruited by Oregon, Purdue, Texas Tech and Ole Miss.

May 13th

Hialeah H.S. (Florida) defensive end and Gridironstuds.com member Corey Lemonier lists Miami and Florida as his top two.

Miami Northwestern QB and Gridironstuds.com member Teddy Bridgewater says he grew up a Florida Gator fan but wants to play wide receiver in a pro style offense. Read more here. This desire to play in pro style offenses may be the demise of the spread offense in the future.

Cape Coral H.S. (Florida) running back / cornerback and Gridironstuds.com member Jeremy Davis has committed to the University of Miami. Davis is also being recruited by Syracuse and West Virginia.

Highly recruited Cedar Hill H.S. (Texas) offensive lineman Adam Shead committed to Oklahoma. Shead is also being recruited by Colorado, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Miami, Kansas and Baylor

Big time Miami Booker T. Washington offensive lineman recruit Jose Jose committed to the University of Tennessee. Jose is also being recruited by Florida, Georgia, Miami, Rutgers and South Florida.

May 12th

Highly recruited Glenville, Oh. safety Christian Bryant has received a scholarship offer from Ohio St. Bryant also has offers from Notre Dame, Michigan St., Wisconsin, West Virginia, Illinois, Iowa and Tennessee.

Miami Booker T. Washington wide receiver Quinton Dunbar has named his top six. In no particular order: Florida, Florida St., Miami, Michigan, Tennessee and Central Florida.

North Florida Christian QB Clint Trickett has received a scholarship offer from Louisville.

Georgia defensive back Darius Robinson has picked up another scholarship offer. This time from West Virginia University.

Pahokee wide receiver and Gridironstuds.com member DeJoshua Johnson has been invited to the Army All American Bowl. Gridironstuds.com members Chris Dunkley and Jeff Luc were also recently invited.

May 11th

The University of Miami has offered highly recruited Decatur, Georgia (Southwest Dekalb H.S.) running back Kendrum Malcolme. Malcolme says that Miami is really high atop his list. He is also being recruited by Auburn, Florida St., Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee and more.

Concord, California (Oaks Christian H.S.) quarterback Nick Montana, son of Joe Montana has named a top seven of LSU, Washington, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio St., Stanford and Notre Dame. Montana will likely make a decision before the start of the upcoming season.

Highly recruited Virginia Beach, VA (Ocean Lakes H.S.) wide receiver Justin Hunter has committed to LSU. Hunter caught 34 passes for 536 yards as a junior. He is also being recruited by Florida, North Carolina, Ohio St., Penn St., Virginia Tech, Alabama and Tennessee.

’09 Michigan signee Deerfield Beach H.S. (Florida) QB Denard Robinson placed 3rd in the Florida State 4-A 100 meter final with a time of 10.62. Robinson also anchored the winning 4×100 meter relay team that was .10 away from equaling the state record of 40.54.

SoFlaFootball.com reports that Pahokee, FLa. H.S. defensive tackle Richard Ash has been offered by Michigan.

SoFlaFootball.com also reports that Purdue has offered Miami’s Monsignor Pace High School quarterback Stephen Morris.

St. Thomas Aquinas top running back Giovanni Bernard has been offered by Tennessee. Bernard also has offers from Miami, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame, FSU and over 20 others.
