I first began watching football in 1979. Coincidentally, this was the first year that John Madden began broadcasting games on television. Over the next 30 years, he redefined the role of color commentator on television football broadcasts. He also revolutionized football video games when he loaned his name to the EA Sports creation bearing his name. Prior to that, Tecmo Bowl featuring it cookie cutter graphics and annoying music was the best gridiron entertainment fans could get out of a video game console. With Madden announcing his retirement today, I am posting this YouTube video that profiles Madden accomplishments as broadcaster and coach. How many Gridiron Studs do you think this guy has seen over the years?
