Glenville H.S. (Ohio) safety Latwan Anderson and cornerback Christian Bryant are set to visit Michigan St. this weekend. Anderson is considering West Virginia, Ohio St., Miami and Michigan St. Bryant has over 30 offers and is considering Michigan St., Ohio St. and Tennessee.
State of Michigan high school players Devin Gardner, Dior Mathis and Earnest Thomas all need big performances and wins this weekend in order to get their teams into the playoffs.
Michigan still recruiting former Duke commit Aramide Olaniyan from Woodberry Forest High School (Virginia).
Palm Beach Central cornerback Peniel Jean had a great visit to Wisconsin last weekend. Many project Jean as a safety but Wisconsin who has zero cornerback commitments for Class of 2010 like Jean as a cornerback. Jean is also considering Connecticut and Maryland.
Pahokee H.S. (Florida) wide receiver DeJoshua Johnson looking to take a trip to North Carolina despite remaining a solid commit to Florida St.

The stars came out for the University of Florida’s Friday Night Lights event last month. Many Gridironstuds.com members were there including Lamarcus Joyner, Chris Dunkley, Jeff Luc, Peniel Jean and more. Check them all out in action in the video below. Anyone who has followed Rutgers football knows that since Greg Schiano took over the program, he has made an effort to get talent out of the State of Florida. The 2009 recruiting class represented a departure from that objective for some reason. Rutgers’ 2009 class only had one player from the State of Florida after signing only one player from Florida in 2008. Rutgers’ 2005-2007 classes all had at least five Florida players.
Schiano and his staff have made the attempt to return to the Sunshine State for talent and are currently listing 15 prospects from Florida. Five of those prospects are Gridironstuds.com members. The Scarlett Knights have listed Gridironstuds.com members (RB/LB Will Powers, RB James White, LB Justin Birkenholz, CB Peniel Jean and CB Cody Riggs) as prospects. There’s no doubt that Rutgers is looking to add some Florida speed to their roster.
