Highly recruited Dr. Phillips High School (Florida) wide receiver Kenny Shaw has decided to make his college announcement at the ESPN Under Armour All Star game. It was previously believed that Shaw would make his commitment on his birthday which is January 15th but he has switched plans and will make his announcement at UA Game which will be played on January 2nd. Shaw is the 25th ranked player at his position by Rivals. The 6’0″ 170 lb Shaw caught 64 balls as junior for 914 yards and 10 TD’s to make a name for himself. He followed that up with strong outings in the summer camp circuit and closed it out with a strong senior campaign. It is believed by many that Florida St. is the leader for Shaw’s services. The recent rash of high profile commitments by the Noles certainly didn’t do anything to hurt the Seminoles in the eyes of this recruit. Schools also believed to be in the running for Shaw are Michigan, Tennessee and South Carolina.
I tell you know lies when I say Dr. Phillips High School wide receiver Kenny Shaw is the truth. If you like speed, precision routes and great awareness by receivers, Kenny Shaw’s highlight video is one to see. Even if you are not a quarterback you will feel compelled to throw him the football. Shaw has been well schooled in the art of playing the wide receiver position and he applies those lessons when the lights come on. Watch him shake press coverage, stick his breaks and accelerate to the football in the air. He’s perhaps the most “ready to eat” wide receiver that I have seen for the class of 2010. His junior campaign saw him haul in 64 catches for 914 yards and 10 touchdowns. Florida St. is the leading candidate for Shaw’s services but he also being recruited by Georgia, Miami , Michigan, South Florida and Tennessee.
Ohio Glenville High School safety Latwan Anderson is good and he’s not afraid to let you know. The speedster from Ted Ginn’s High School has gone on a mission this summer to prove the words in the headline of this story.
